For the fourth year in succession Toyota has finished ahead of its automotive rivals in a list of the most admired companies.

The annual Fortune ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’ list is based on the opinion of executives, directors, and analysts of some of the biggest and most successful business in the U.S. and abroad.

The respondents are asked to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent.

And, once again, it was Toyota that came in ahead of any other auto brand.

Toyota finished 29th overall in this year’s Top 50 list, software giants Apple came out on top overall.

“Toyota is honored to be listed among the world’s most admired companies once again, and to be recognized as the most admired auto company in the world for the fourth year in a row,” said Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota Motor North America.

“This ranking acknowledges the many successes of our global team who are committed to advancing sustainable, next-generation mobility for our customers.”

The full list appears in the magazine’s February issue and can be viewed online now on Fortune’s website.
